Porto Itapoá reached the mark of 9,000 containers in crossdocking operations
September was also a milestone for Porto Itapoá in terms of crossdocking operations. With three months to go until 2021, the Terminal has already surpassed the total number of containers operated last year and in previous years. 9,000 containers have already been handled this year, as compared to the 8,823 operated in 2019 and 8,680 in 2020.
The months with the highest volumes were, respectively, April, March, and August, surpassing the mark of one thousand containers operated. The main cargoes include aluminum, copper, iron and zinc, chemical products and raw materials for the wood and plastic industry, paper and cardboard, auto parts and parts for machinery, fertilizers, among other general cargoes.
