Porto Itapoá breaks records for ship and truck movement in November
Terminal broke its milestone for the highest number of containers moved on the same ship: 3,371 units
November was a month of records at Porto Itapoá. On November 11, the Terminal broke its milestone for the highest number of containers moved on the same ship: 3,371 units. The operation took place on the Maersk Leon ship in just over 30 hours and involved the work of five cranes. The previous record was set on April 4 of this year, when the Terminal moved 3,361 containers on the CMA CGM Búzios ship.
On November 20, it was time for the record for movements per hour on the ship. This is an important productivity marker in the port sector that measures the movement of cranes – cranes that move between the ship and the dock. The operation took place on the Maersk Luz ship and reached 131.57 movements per hour. The previous record was set on August 6 of this year, with 131.21 movements on the MSC India ship.
Finally, on November 27, the record was set at the gate, the entry point for road transporters. There were 704 movements in a single shift, which corresponds to six hours. The previous record was set on September 11, with 675 movements in a single shift.
