Porto Itapoá has been voted the best port in Brazil in terms of customer experience, for the eighth consecutive year
As well as this, the terminal has also managed to achieve the best score for the index that assesses how willing customers are to recommend a service to others.
Porto Itapoá was confirmed as the best port in Brazil in terms of customer experience, for the 8th consecutive year, at a ceremony that brought together the managers and directors from the port sector, from all over Brazil, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (23rd), in the city of São Paulo. This award is given by the Ibero-Brazilian Customer Relationship Institute (IBRC) each year. They evaluate the performance of companies in terms of their relationships with their customers, in different sectors.
The IBRC presented remarkable data from the sector, based on a survey of over 400 managers and directors, who are responsible for the logistics of 388 of the largest transport companies in Brazil, including customers satisfaction rates. Based on this, they selected the best specialist logistics suppliers. Porto Itapoá also had the highest NPS (Net Promoter Score), which indicates the number of the port’s customers who would be willing to recommend their services to others.
A panel was also held during this event, which highlighted the development of company-client relationships in the country and the growing appreciation and sharing of best CX practices across various sectors of the economy. Logistics is a sector that is fundamental to the country’s development. It grew by close to 10% in 2023 and is expected to grow further over the next few years.
Ricardo Arten, the CEO of Porto Itapoá, , emphasized that all their investment and effort to increase capacity and handling ability, purchase more equipment and hire more workers, has been in expectation of increasing customer demand. “This recognition is confirmation that we are on the right track,” he noted.
Felipe Fioravanti Kaufmann, the Director of Business Development and Customer Experience, explained that: “You can see our commitment to excellence in our Customer Care and high-level operations (where we have invested in technology), as well as the training of our staff to ensure that our operations are at the cutting-edge and our customers’ experience is impeccable.”
