Porto Itapoá received the Amigo do Leão award in the category “Large Donor Company to the Elderly Fund”, granted by the Amigo do Leão Institute, which promotes actions to encourage the culture of donation and the development of the Third Sector. The award ceremony, held during the annual “Amigo do Leão” event on October 31 in Florianópolis, highlighted the contributions of companies and individuals who, through donations, strengthen funds aimed at supporting children, adolescents and the elderly in the state of Santa Catarina.
In 2023, Porto Itapoá allocated R$578,000 to municipal funds for the elderly in Santa Catarina, reaffirming its commitment to the development of local communities.
