Porto Itapoá means more social investment
2023 marks an important year in the history of Porto Itapoá
Currently, Porto Itapoá already has two other lines to North America in its service portfolio.
Porto Itapoá has new service to the Caribbean and USA
Porto Itapoá will now have another important shipping line: Brazil Express (BRAZEX), from the French company CMA CGM. The service connects Brazilian ports to the Caribbean and the USA, with weekly calls. Currently, Porto Itapoá already has two lines to North America in its service portfolio.
Some important connection points are Cartagena, in Colombia, Kingston, in Jamaica, Veracruz, in Mexico, and Houston and New Orleans, in the USA. “It is an important service for customers who do business in these regions, but they can also use it as a connection to other points”, explains the director of Operations, Technology and Environment at Porto Itapoá, Sergni Pessoa Rosa Jr.
The first ship of the service to arrive in Itapoá will be the Hans Shulte, on October 31st. 277m long and with a capacity of 5,600 TEUs (unit equivalent to a 20-foot container), it sails under the Hong Kong flag.
BRAZEX rotation will be as follows:
New Orleans – Houston – Veracruz – Kingston – Cartagena – Salvador – Santos – Navegantes – Itapoá – Paranaguá – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Cartagena – Kingston – New Orleans.
