Porto Itapoá carries out Breakbulk operation with direct shipment of cargo totaling 270 tons
On May 20th, Porto Itapoá received six cargoes of approximately 45 tons each for direct loading onto the BBC Direction vessel, owned by BBC Chartering. The loads are part of a subsea equipment piece consisting of a set of valves to control the flow of the oil well, installed on the seabed. The pieces connect to the oil platforms that are on the surface and are responsible for the flow of production. Due to their risk category, they needed to be boarded directly on the ship. The operation was carried out successfully and without any incidents, ensuring maximum safety for all involved, in the shortest possible time. The final destination of the cargoes was the port of Hammerfest, in Northern Norway.
